  • The Flora High School Accounting Class attended took a trip to Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, on Friday, February 10.


    This was no joy ride or college visit, this was the 14th annual Accounting Challenge, hosted by SIUC.


    Mrs. Westjohn’s class brought 45 students from Flora High School.

  • The Flora High School Accounting Class attended took a trip to Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, on Friday, February 10.
    This was no joy ride or college visit, this was the 14th annual Accounting Challenge, hosted by SIUC.
    Mrs. Westjohn’s class brought 45 students from Flora High School.
    Along with the FHS students, there were 23 other area high schools and five community colleges with students in attendance.
    There were over 400 total participants in challenges which featured tests of skill and knowledge for both individuals and teams.
    In addition to the challenge, all students and the teachers who accompanied them got to enjoy both breakfast and lunch. They were also able to meet faculty, staff and students from the SIUC school of Accounting.
