  • Lawrenceville - The Noble-Clay City Lady Wildcats traveled to Lawrenceville and suffered a defeat being edged by the Lady Indians 8 - 7.
    The Lady Indians jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning 1 - 0. The Lady Wildcats took the lead in the top of the third 2 - 1. However, the Lady Indians scored two runs in the bottom of the third to retake the lead 3 - 2.
    In the fourth and fifth innings the teams kept each other scoreless. In the top of the sixth inning the Lady Wildcats bats came alive as they scored four runs making the score 6 - 3. The Lady Indians scored three runs to tie the score at 6 - 6 going into the seventh inning.
    The NCC Lady Wildcats scored one run off three hits to take the lead 7 - 6. The Lady Wildcats needed to hold the Lady Indians in the bottom of the seventh, but could not, as they scored two runs to secure the win, with NCC suffering the loss.
    The winning pitcher for the Lady Indians was Morgan Parrish and taking the loss for the Lady Wildcats was Darcie Hawkins throwing a total of 105 pitches, 73 of those being strikes.

    As a team the Lady Wildcats scored seven runs off seven hits in 29 at bats.
    The Lady Wildcats are now 10 - 6 overall on the season and 3 - 1 in the MTC. Their next games are scheduled for Wednesday, April 30th traveling to Red Hill and then on the road again to Woodlawn on Thursday, May 1st. Both games are scheduled to start at 4:15 p.m.
