  • Flora - The Flora Wolves were tough until the top of the seventh inning with Newton scoring 5-runs making the score 8 - 1 and the Wolves suffering defeat.
    The Wolves scored their lone run in the bottom of the sixth inning when Zach Allison stepped to the plate and hit a single to center field scoring Damion Dehlinger. The Newton Eagles scored one run in the fourth inning, two runs in the fifth inning and five runs in the top of the seventh inning.
    Taking the loss for the Wolves was Trevor Nicholson throwing a total of 134 pitches, 84 of those being strikes in four innings of work, allowing three runs, walking three and striking-out six.
    Flora Wolves Hitting:
    Trey Thompson 3-for-4, two doubles; Bryce Pearce 1-for-3; Zach Allison 1-for-4, RBI; Jeremiah Allison 2-for-4; Blake Fitch 1-for-4; Rase Collins 1-for-3; Tristan Litaker 1-for-4; Damion Dehlinger run scored.
    The next games for the Flora Wolves will be Monday, May 5th at Olney, game time first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Then Wednesday at home vs North Clay.
