NCC Lady Wildcats Edge Woodlawn 3 - 2

Woodlawn - The Noble-Clay City Lady Wildcats edged Woodlawn 3 - 2 on Thursday, May 1st.

Woodlawn jumped out to a 1 - 0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but the Lady Wildcats came back to tie the score at 1 - 1 in the top of the third inning. Woodlawn came back to take the lead by scoring one run in the bottom of the third making it 2 - 1.

The NCC Lady Wildcats came roaring back to tie the score at 2 - 2 in the top of the sixth inning. The Lady Wildcats held Woodlawn scoreless in the bottom of the sixth. NCC scored one run in the top of the seventh inning and then held Woodlawn with good defense securing the win for the Lady Wildcats by the score of 3 - 2.

The winning pitcher for the Lady Wildcats was Darcie Hawkins throwing a complete game with 103 pitches thrown, 70 of those being strikes. Taking the loss for Woodlawn was Carly Etheridge.
