NC Cards fall to Teutopolis 9 - 5
Louisville - The North Clay Cardinals ended their seven game win streak on Tuesday, May 6th by suffering a defeat falling to Teutopolis by the score of 9 -5.
The Wooden Shoes jumped out to a 2 - 0 lead in the top of the third inning as Walker hit a two run shot over the right field fence. The Cardinals held the Wooden Shoes in the top of the fourth.
Austin Stinnett put the Cardinals on top in the bottom of the fourth inning as he hit a three run Home-Run collecting three RBIs giving North Clay the lead 3 - 2. The Wooden Shoes scored two runs in the top of the fifth of a home-run by Hartrich, giving them the lead of 4 - 3. The Cardinals bats could not get going in the fifth inning as they went in order of one, two,three.
The Wooden Shoes had a big inning in the top of the sixth as they scored five runs off five hits increasing their lead to 9 - 3. The North Clay Cardinals trying to get a rally going in the bottom of the seventh saw a spark as Austin Stinnett hit a two run double as Dylan Bailey and Jordan Byers crossed the plate giving Stinnett five RBIs on the day. The spark however soon went away as the third out was made ending the game at 9 - 5 with the Cards suffering a loss.
The winning pitcher for the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes was Berries and taking the loss for the Cardinals was Hunter Clifton.

The NC Cardinals are 17 - 7 -1 overall on the season and regular season MTC Champions.
