NCC Lady Wildcats Win at Dieterich 9 -4

Dieterich - The Noble-Clay City Lady Wildcats traveled to Dieterich on Tuesday, May 6th and came away with a win 9 -4.

Coming off a loss to Fairfield by the score of 8 - 1, the Lady Wildcats were determined to produce more runs against Dieterich.

Dieterich jumped out to an early lead, but the Lady Wildcats scored one run in the third inning to close the gap 2 -1. Good defense and pitching by the Lady Wildcats holding the Lady Maroons of Dieterich scoreless from the second through the bottom of the sixth innings.

The Lady Wildcats scored three runs in the fourth inning and five runs in the sixth inning to give them the lead by the score of 9 - 4 NCC. The Lady Maroons gathered two runs off two hits in the bottom of the seventh inning, however it was not enough and the Lady Wildcats secured another win.

The winning pitcher for the Lady Wildcats was Dani Hawkins throwing a total of 83 pitches, 60 of those being strikes. Taking the loss for the Lady Maroons was Higgs.
