  • St. Elmo/ Brownstown - The Flora Wolves traveled to St. Elmo/Brownstown to take on the Eagles on Saturday, May 10th and came away with a 6 - 3 victory.
    Wolves Bryce Pearce had a strong game, not only at the plate, but on the hill as well. Pearce struck out nine St. Elmo/Brownstown batters and reached base three times as well himself.
    The first inning was scoreless, but the Wolves scored one run in the top of the second inning with Jeremiah Allison stealing home safely for a 1 - 0 Wolves lead.
    The Wolves scored two runs in the third and fourth innings making the score 5 - 0 and held St.Elmo/ Brownstown scoreless through the bottom of the fifth inning.
    The Wolves scored one more run in the top of the sixth inning when Rase Collins crossed the plate off an error by the Eagles shortstop L. Maxey amking it 6 - 0. St. Elmo/Brownstown scored one run in the bottom of the sixth and two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but it just closed the deficit to 6 - 3, with the game ending and the Flora Wolves securing another win.
    The winning pitcher for the Wolves was Bryce Pearce pitching five innings with a total of 127 pitches, 75 of those being strikes. Taking the loss for St. Elmo/Brownstown was Levi Maxey.

    The Flora Wolves are now 14 - 15 on the season with their next games Mondat, May 12th at Red Hill and Tuesday, May 13th at Robinson. Both games are scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
