The Clay County Advocate-Press is located in Flora, Ill. and was founded in 1886. It is the oldest newspaper in Clay County. The Advocate-Press is published twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. The Advocate-Press also publishes the Free-Press which reaches all of Clay County, and parts of Effingham, Richland and Wayne County.
