A cold front will push across central Illinois this afternoon bringing another round of scattered thunderstorms to the area. A severe storm will be possible this afternoon...roughly from 1pm until 600 pm. Hail and possibly a brief tornado are the main threats...especially along and east of Interstate 55. Cooler weather will follow tonight and Friday...and hold through the weekend with a chance of rain each day.
