There is a new way to get a fabulous hair style, cut, or perm in Flora, at Fabulous, a salon owned and operated by Amy Meeks. The salon is located at 220 E. 2nd Street and opens Monday through Fridays at 9 a.m. Both walk-ins and appointments are welcome.
Meeks bought the salon at the end of November, and after a renovation, including lots of paint, new stations and remodeling, she opened for business on Dec. 7. Before, “It was just gray white and brown,” said Meeks, pointing to the green and black theme, “And that’s just not me.”
Meeks, who is a stylist as well as the business’ owner, works with stylist Rhea Glover, who has 15 years of styling experience. Meeks has seven years of experience at Smart Style in Olney and graduated from Olney Central College’s Cosmetology program.
