The weather is something you can write about.

This past weekend after some rain, there was a little cooler weather slowly passing through.  The ground dried enough to let the farmers work some in the fields.  And more gardens were able to get worked and partially planted.  A kind neighbor came and got mine ready to put out.  I then had to go and get more plants and seeds to plant.  The strawberry plants I had taken up to reset may not do very good as they had been out of the ground too long, I’ll have to get more.

Sympathy goes to the following families:  Frances (Daughtery) Kincaid, sister of Fern Hale, who passed away last December in Florida where a memorial was held and then on May 14 a memorial was held at the Louisville Methodist Church with internment in Old Union Cemetery.

Hazel (Monical) McKinney passed away in St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham, funeral was at Hall Chapel with burial in Bible Grove (Burk) Cemetery.  Hazel was raised in Bible Grove and was a member of the Methodist Church, that was once here in town.

We have an athlete here in Bible Grove who has been a top winner in 100 & 200 meter dashes, long jump (21ft 8¼ in) and both sprints.  It is the 2nd time wins and says “2nd time is sweeter.”  He plans on trying for long jump-24 feet.  Great going Myles Ketelsen, son of Gina & Rande McKnelly.

Pastor Mike Elliott along with several volunteers are starting a youth meeting at the Bible Grove Christian Church—AFC (All for Christ) will begin on Saturday May 28th at 6:30pm.  All youth are welcome to join in the music, Bible stories, discussions/crafts and snacks—pre K through high school.  The youth meetings will be the 4th Saturday each month.

The men’s meeting is at Mason on May 23 at 7pm.

The Bible Grove Christian Church Ladies Aid meeting will be on Wednesday night May 25 at 6:30pm.

Linda McKnelly is bedfast and very very poor health.

Becky Lewis is now working in Olney at a new business named W.E.T. Pools and Spas. Their grand opening is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It is just of the corner of Main Street and Whittle Avenue. Why not go see here and check things out?

Graduations are coming soon, high school and grade school.  I have 2 great-granddaughters, Torrey Boose and Haley Lewis, graduating from Flora Junior High, a great-grandson, Austin Lewis, from Flora High School, a great-granddaughter, Taylor Rhodes, graduating from Shelbyville High School, a granddaughter, Angie Davis and a cousin, Cassie Williams from Olney Central College.
Best wishes to all the graduates.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and He will help you change your life.
