Noma J. Mullins, 86, of Ingraham, passed away at 10:18 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Noma was born on December 31, 1923, in Jasper County, Ill. to Elijah and Orie (Bryant) Kepley. On December 10, 1943, she was married to Paul Mullins in Olney, Ill. Noma was a homemaker and a farm wife. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking and assisted her family in providing the Mullins Christmas light display for 26 years. She was a member of Ingraham Christian Church.

Noma is survived by her husband, Paul Mullins of Ingraham; her children, Beverly Taylor and husband Rob of Birmingham, England, Vaughn Mullins of Ingraham and Rita Cooper and husband Gary of Xenia; her grandchildren, Stephanie Twazzi and husband Anas of Birmingham, England, Lucas Taylor of Birmingham, England, Travis Cooper and wife Melissa of Xenia and Laura Blomme and husband Patrick of Williamsburg, Iowa; her brothers and sisters, Grace Mullins of Ingraham, Mabel Cowger and husband Ron of Ingraham, Lowell Kepley and wife Shirley of Ingraham, Mamie Burk of Effingham, and Nolan Kepley of Clay City.

Preceding Noma in death were her parents.

Funeral services for Noma J. Mullins were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Ingraham Christian Church. Interment was at Ingraham Cemetery in Ingraham. A visitation was held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Frank and Bright Funeral Home and from 12 p.m. until the time of services on Monday.
