BERTHA A. ENDSLEY, 97 of Mt. Erie, IL passed away at 3:25 PM; Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Burgin Manor Nursing Home; Olney, IL.

Bertha was born June 19, 1912 at Mt. Erie, IL to Jacob H. and Ella (Spitler) Arnold. She married Virgil Endsley December 27, 1930 at Cisne, IL. He preceded her in death November 10, 1969.

Bertha was a homemaker and a member of the West United Methodist Church and the   United Methodist Women at Mt. Erie, IL for many years.

She is survived by one daughter – Wilma Jenkins (& her husband Robert) of Olney, IL; two sons Gordon Endsley (& his wife Mary Lee) and Allen Endsley (& his wife Donna) all of Mt. Erie, IL; one sister-in-law Evelyn Arnold of West Salem, IL.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceding her in death were three grandchildren, one brother, three sisters, her husband and her parents.

Funeral services for Bertha Endsley will be 11:00AM Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the West United Methodist Church at Mt. Erie, IL.  Friends may call 6-8PM Monday, June 22, 2009 at Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne, IL and 10:00AM to service time at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at West Cemetery, Mt. Erie, IL.  Rev. Max Borah will officiate.

Memorials may be given to West United Methodist Church and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
