Marion Fitch, 89 of Cisne, passed away at 8:45 p.m.; Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital at Fairfield.

Marion was born April 18, 1920 at Cisne to Wayne and Mamie (Osterman) Fitch. He married Luella Shelton January 18, 1940 at Henderson, Ky. 

Marion farmed for several years and later moved to Cisne where he and Luella lived for over 50 years.  He retired as a superintendent of the Gas & Water Dept. for the Village of Cisne in 1985 after 15 years. Previously worked for Petrolane Gas Company at Cisne. 
He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Fairfield and previously a member of Cisne Village Board.

Marion is survived by his wife Luella Fitch of Cisne; two daughters – Betty Linder , and husband Henry), of Cisne, and Shirley Mason, and husband Richard, of Fairfield, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren also survive.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services for Marion Fitch were be Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Hosselton Funeral Home.  Burial followed in Cisne Cemetery.  Visitation was Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
