Dear Editor,
Have you ever wondered why our Heavenly Father created us? After all, He lived from eternity without us, and we are a lot of trouble–killing, cheating, stealing lying . . . and the list goes on as we create problems for ourselves and those around us. We seemingly never listen to Him. Even with the Lord’s Church Body, many times our actions and speech are outside of our Lord’s directives and teachings. Which brings us to the question: why did our Heavenly Father create us? And what is our divine created purpose of our lives here on earth?
These questions can only be answered through the divine revalation of God’s own Holy Word. Let us therefore look intently into God’s Holy Word for the answer of why God created us, and the true purpose of our lives. The Apostle John writes, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete.” (1 John 4:16 & 17)
I am always amazed at how much God’s word says to us. We see revealed to us in one short sentence our greatest news. “God is love.” The love of God created the beautiful sea and the majstic mountains, but they could not return His love. Therefore, God created men and women in the very image of the Triune God Head with a free will to be able to choose to love God, in response to God’s love for them. For love by its very nature must be voluntary. And for any true love relationship to exist, God’s love must be reciprocal. To each person who opens his or her heart door to the Heavenly Father through Jesus our Lord “God pours out His love into their hearts by the Holy Spirit,” (Romans 5:5) giving them the empowerment of God’s love that lifts their lives to a higher plane.
Each man and woman has been created in the very image of the Triune God Head to complete God’s love. “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way love is made complete.” Men and women who know and rely on the love God has for us complete God’s love.
Having looked intently into the revelation of God’s Holy Word, I believe we have found the answers to these all-important questions: Why did God create us? And what is our divine created purpose in life? To complete God’s love! Through looking into God’s Holy Word, we see that God, in creating us, was seeking the greatest achivement and reward fof His creation, true love relationships– and that, too, is our greatest achievement and reward in life.
What is the true purpose of this short probationary period of God-given life we each ave been given here on earth? The true purpose of each one of our lives is to determine one thing: will we choose to receive and return God’s love through Jesus our Lord and achieve a true love relationship with our Heavenly Father and the Children of the Heavenly King?
The choice to open our hearts to Jesus, God’s gift of love, and sharing God’s love withour Heavenly Father and His Children will complete our purpose in life, and give us a glorious destiny. To God be the glory for our lives, and may our lives glorify His name with Thanksgiving, for sharing with us His Holy Word, and His Spirit of love.
Sincerely
Jim McGrew
