High school golf

   The fourth scorer was the difference as El Paso-Gridley edged Pontiac in a girls’ golf triangular at El Paso Golf Course on Tuesday.
    The Titans finished at 204 with the Indians coming in at 206. St. Bede had a 213 to complete the triangular.
    Ali Schrock was the medalist with a 36 in leading Pontiac. Dani Grace Schrock was next with a 43, equaling the score of EPG medalist Makenna Parkhouse. Rylee Zimmerman shot a 57 and Macey Rice had a 64 to complete the PTHS scoring. Taylor Parsons shot 70.
    Adding to the 43 by Parkhouse was Emma Baker’s 51 and Skyeler Woods at 53. Faith Seal completed the EPG scoring with a 57. Kate Henkel shot 63 and Sami Harlan had a 66.
    Gianna Ellis led St. Bede with a 51.
Prairie Central Triangular
    FAIRBURY — The medalist was not a member of the Prairie Central team, but the Hawks had all four scorers in the top five in winning a triangular match at Indian Creek Tuesday.
    Katelind Winterland and Lyndie Shumaker each shot 50 to pace the Hawks, who finished at 209. Hannah Austman was next at 54 and Alyssa Bachtold had a 55.
    Watseka was next at 232 with N. Schroeder taking medalist honors at 47. Blue Ridge came in at 249.
Dwight Triangular
    DWIGHT — Beecher came away with low honors in winning a triangular match at Dwight Country Club.
    Beecher finished at 205 with Dwight placing second at 218 and Seneca shooting 228.
    Chloe Butterbrodt was low for the Trojans with a 49. Kat Harms and Isabelle Schultz each shot 53 and Gabby Mascolo had a 63 to complete the scoring. Miranda Holte and Kelly Deterding each shot 65.
    Emily Hayhurst of Beecher was medalist with a 43.
Boys
Dwight-Beecher
    DWIGHT — Andrew Curl was medalist but Dwight was unable to match Beecher’s effort in a boys’ golf match at Dwight Country Club Tuesday.
    Curl had a 39 to lead the Trojans, who finished with a 204. The Bobcats shot 179.
    Anthony Dinelli had a 53 and was followed by Mason Tjelle at 54 and the trio of Nolan Perkins, Nathan Wozniak and Sevin Vargas each came in with a 58.
    Dwight won the JV match 229-235. Brody Hoegger had a 54 to lead the Trojans.
Prairie Central-Rantoul
    RANTOUL — Prairie Central remained unbeaten in match play with a 165-171 win over host Rantoul in an Illini Prairie Conference match at Willow Pond.
    Carter Nowak tied for medalist honors in leading Prairie Central with his 39. Trey Van Winkle also shot 39 to lead the Eagles.
    Next for the Hawks was Josh Kilcullen at 40 and Riley Vaughan had a 42. Completing the coring was Payton Dunahee with a 44. Ty Drach (45) and Austin Friedman (47) also played.
