The girl's basketball season is not over quite yet - on Monday, the all-conference squad for the Midland Trail Conference for the 2009-2010 season was announced, and a pair of Lady Cardinals from North Clay were chosen for the all-star squad.
Honored were Alyssa Fender, a 5-foot-9, senior forward, and Andrea 'Andi' Buhrmann, a 5-foot-7 junior guard.
The pair led North Clay to a share of the MTC regular season title, finishing with a 5-1 record, and tying with South Central and Woodlawn.
The Lady Cardinal twosome also were honored as part of the MTC Tournament all-tourney squad, along with 5-foot-6, junior forward Alyse Cox. North Clay finished runner-up to South Central in the conference tourney.
