The FAF Appleknocker Run will kick-off the 2019 Festival with the pre-registration for the 5K and 1 Mile Run at 7a.m. to 8:15 a.m. The 5K and 1 Mile Run begin at 8:30 a.m. with the course closing at 9:45 a.m.

The FAF AK Run, scheduled this year for September 28, 2019, will feature a computer-timed 5K and 1 Mile Run, with a short 100 yard (approximate distance) dash available for two age groups: children 4 years and under; and 5 to 8 years old. Overall winning dashers per age group will also receive awards; however, EVERY dasher will receive a ribbon for participating. As always, walkers are welcome!

For all pre-registered 5K and 1 Mile participants, a commemorative moisture management shirt is assured and available for other participants while supplies last. Dashers do not need to register at all, but at the cost of $5, a dasher may order a cotton t-shirt by submitting the AK Run Entry Form with $5 by the pre-registration date.

As always, entrants may register the day of the race, starting at 7 a.m. With the same day registration closing at 8:15 a.m., when the Dashes begin. The awards will follow shortly thereafter, as Appleknocker stage festivities allow.

Entry Forms can be accessed via the Face Book page, “FAF Appleknocker Run”, the Flora Academic Foundation website, or by contacting Jennie Harrell via e-mail at sjharrell4@frontier.com. Any questions may also be directed to her by calling (618) 676-4218.
