Frontier Community College is offering an 8-week Quilting class in Flora for the spring semester. Laurie Rist will be the instructor.

Quilting will meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Room 4C (art room) of Flora High School. The class begins February 5 and runs through March 25. The class is open to all skill levels, but instructor Laurie Rist notes this is a great class for those with no prior quilting experience.

Students will create a Tradewinds pattern (jellyroll friendly) in the first four weeks of the class and an Addison’s Star in the second half. Rist is excited to share her passion for quilting with others.

To register for Quilting, call Frontier Community College at 618-842-3711.

The cost of the class is $70, and a complete supply list with fabric requirements can be obtained by contacting Rist at 618-843-7478.
